10 Signs That Your Loved Ones Use to Show You They Are With You!
There are so many ways that your loved ones are showing up around you and letting you know that they are with you. These are some really great ways for you to know that they are still with you and connecting with you. Have you experienced any of these things?
1. Smelling a distinctive scent, a cologne, smoke, a cigar, flowers, spices, something that you associate with that person. The smell, even if smoke is always pleasant and brings forward good memories.
2. You may have a feeling as though someone has touched you or is hugging you. Like just feeling that they are near or with you, even if you are unsure, it just “feels” like they are with you.
3. You may have a dream about your loved one or seeing your loved one in a dream, like being able to say hello! Dreams can be quite vivid and colorful, loving and positive. It is a true spiritual encounter of your loved one coming to let you know that they are alright and that they are with you.
4. Synchronicities – just the right thing happening at the right time, you get exactly what you need or something that you asked for help with. They tend to happen when you need them the most.
5. Seeing the same numbers or sequence of numbers over and over. So this is like seeing the numbers 111 or 444 or a sequence of numbers that has a specific meaning to you, such as an address, a birth date or anniversary or a phone number.
6. Finding coins, such as pennies or dimes at just the right time. A coin will catch your eye or be given to you, or you can find them in strange places. However, a coin comes to you, watch for the same kind of coin coming to you over and over. Go back to the previous thought that you had before finding the coin and know that finding the coin is a sign that you are on the right track, that you are being supported, that you are loved.
7. Seeing a certain animal or bird, finding feathers, seeing rainbows, butterflies, dragon flies or ladybugs. Loved ones will often use nature to help speak to you and so seeing the same animal or bird over and over can be a sign from Heaven.
8. Electrical events, such as lights flashing, lights turning on, or something electronic turning on, such a TV or stereo.
9. Hearing a meaningful song or words from a song that are significant and come at just the right time. It might be music that your loved one liked and it may be because of the words in a particular song, but loved ones love to use music as they know it helps to bring positivity to you.
10. A buzzing, tone change or sound in your ear. This is the “you have mail” message and it is a message that they are coming to you to let you know that they are with you and there might be something they need you to know. Pay attention to your thoughts, what were you thinking about or wondering about when the tone change in your ear happened?
These are all ways that your loved ones speak to you on a regular basis, as our souls are always in contact with one another. You were born with the ability to communicate energetically and so even if you are unsure, just believe, trust and even imagine if you have to and see how spirit will come and play and communicate with you, showing their love and support in the most amazing ways!
What Happens For Our Loved Ones On the Other Side?
I get asked about this all the time. What happens when we die? Where do our loved ones go? Can they still see us? Do they know what’s going on with me?
I love sharing these messages and I want to share with you what I have experienced through mediumship sessions and what Spirit has shown me.
There are beautiful things and messages that have come through consistently that have shown me that without a doubt, that death is not an ending, but rather a transition and is certainly not the ending that we may fear.
So the biggest message?
We continue! Your loved ones continue in what I refer to as non-physical.
One of my favourite things about mediumship is how our loved ones show up, how they make connections that show us that the connection is real.
They will show aspects of themselves and confirm ways that they moved through their life when they were in physical.
The funny one is still funny. The stubborn one is still stubborn. And the person who loved teasing you while they were here, will find a way to do it from the other side.
Because they don’t suddenly become a vague version of themselves.
They’re still them. They’re not judging you. In fact, they are just loving you.
People often ask if their loved ones can see what they’re doing.
Usually follow by a slight panicked, “Oh shit... they can see EVERYTHING I’m doing?!”
What I experience from Spirit is not judgement.
There seems to be a much bigger perspective on the other side.
Things that felt complicated here can be understood differently there. Sometimes there are apologies, sometimes it’s acknowledgment. And very often, there is love and understanding. There is always compassion.
Those acknowledgements can be so healing.
They know what’s going on in your life.
Loved ones in Spirit have acknowledged relationships, moves,
career changes and all kinds of everyday moments.
I don’t experience Spirit as watching every second of your life
like some kind of celestial security camera.
But they are connected to you.
And they absolutely find ways to let you know they’re around. It may not be like having a full conversation with them, instead, so much conversation happens through “feeling”.
They love to send you signs! Signs are often simpler than we think.
People will tell me they’ve been asking for a sign for months, and
nothing has happened.
Meanwhile, Spirit has practically been banging pots and pans in the background!
Signs can come in so many ways...
A song.
A number.
A bird, a feather, a butterfly.
A dream that feels different.
Their name showing up at exactly the right moment.
A memory arriving out of nowhere.
We can get very specific about what we think the sign should look like.
Pay attention to what feels personal. Your loved ones knew you and they know what will make you stop and think, Okay… that was weird.
Believing they're still with you doesn't remove grief
Mediumship doesn’t make you stop missing someone.
Believing that your loved one continues doesn’t replace their physical presence.
You can believe they are close and still desperately wish they could
walk through your front door. Both can be true.
We miss the human part.
Their voice. Their hugs. Their laugh. Even the things they did, that drove us nuts.
There is no spiritual shortcut around grief, and I don’t think there should be.
Love changes shape when someone transitions, but it doesn’t disappear.
What I know after doing this work for years... We are more than our bodies.
Love continues.
Our people do not simply disappear.
And there is far more happening around us than what we can see with our eyes.
If you are grieving someone right now, I hope that gives you even a little bit of comfort. They may not be here in the way you desperately wish they were, but that does not mean the connection is gone.
Keep talking to them.
And when something happens that makes you stop and think, Was that you?
Maybe you don’t need to talk yourself out of it quite so quickly.
What Happens in a Reading?
If you have never had an intuitive or mediumship reading before, it's completely natural to wonder what actually happens during a session.
Every reading is a little different because every person who sits in front of me is different. I don't work from a script, and I don't know ahead of time what will come forward. I simply create the space, connect with your energy and all that surrounds you and allow the information to unfold from there.
So, what might come through?
During an intuitive reading, I may receive information about what is happening in your life right now, relationships, family, career, decisions, changes, patterns, opportunities or areas where you may be feeling stuck or uncertain.
Information can come to me in different ways. For me, it is a very multi-sensory experience. I typically see and feel, but I also hear things and just know things without being able to explain how I know it. These are different ways intuition communicates and I use all of the clairs to conduct a session.
Almost always, loved ones in heaven show up to say hello! I love connections from heaven and know that they are so healing and supportive to our human experience. I will share the information I receive and allow the connection to unfold naturally. I never force a particular person to come through or promise who will show up, but you can also always ask to hear more from someone in particular or get messages from someone in particular.
Can I ask questions? Absolutely!
In fact, I encourage you to bring the things you genuinely want clarity around. A reading is not something that simply happens to you, it can be a beautiful conversation and exploration of what is happening in your life and provide you with more clarity and healthy steps to take moving forward.
You don't need to give me your entire story beforehand. Often, less information allows you to recognize the validation for yourself as it comes through.
Is a reading about predicting the future?
Not really, it is so much more than that, at least, that's not how I approach my work.
Your future isn't one fixed destination waiting to happen to you. You have choices, free will and the ability to change direction.
What a reading can do is illuminate what is happening around you now, what may be developing, where your energy is leading and what possibilities may be available to you.
For me, the most powerful reading isn't one that tells you exactly what's going to happen.
It's one that helps you leave feeling seen, validated, clearer and more connected to yourself and perhaps to something greater than yourself too.
